General Information

The 3rd International Acid-Base Symposium will take place in 2018 from June 24th until 28th in the wonderful conference center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences - in the Smolenice Castle near Bratislava in the Slovak Republic.

During recent years, knowledge has emerged that changes in acid-base metabolism/acidosis might contribute to various diseases. Therefore, the conference will cover most of these aspects in connection to diet, health, and disease.

We would be very pleased if you could attend this Symposium and contribute to the program.

Following topics will be covered
      
- Acid-base metabolism and diet     
- Diabetes and acid-base balance     
- Bone and acid-base metabolism     
- Acid-base metabolism and aging     
- Kidney function and acidosis 
- Acidosis and cancer   
- Pain and acidosis    
- Minerals in water and acid-base balance  
- Performance/stress and acid-base balance    
- Effects of alkaline supplementation   
- Skin health and acid-base effects      

The scientific program will include oral presentations and posters.
Young investigators competition will be organized, and best presentations will be awarded by the conference sponsors.
We hope that the scientific program together with the pleasant environment of the castle and offered social events attracts you and will create a working atmosphere full of fruitful discussions.

Conference Language
The official language of the conference will be English and will be used for all presentations and printed materials.
